Ofcom has announced a third round of community radio licencing, with the application process for Wales and Southwest England opening yesterday. According to their website, FM applications will not be accepted from Neath Port Talbot and Swansea unitary authorities, which is a major blow to our plans to launch an FM community radio station in Pontardawe. We're within the outer fringes of Neath Port Talbot, but our coverage area includes parts of Swansea and Powys.
